INTRODUCTION TO SIPHON PRINCIPLE
Introduction of siphon principle
Siphon principle: siphon drainage system adopts a special anti-swirl rainwater bucket with air baffle and water inlet grille. In the process of rainfall, rainwater enters the rainwater bucket through the grille and side. When the roof catchment reaches a certain height, the anti-vortex performance in the rainwater bucket will block the air from entering from the outside and make the rainwater flow smoothly into the drainage pipe. The energy generated by the height difference between the roof and the ground is used to create a partial vacuum in the pipeline, forming a suction effect to quickly drain the rainwater. Based on the formation principle, the "Bernoulli" equation is used, and after careful calculation, the flow rate and pressure of rainwater in the pipeline are effectively controlled and balanced, and the water on the roof is drained at a very fast speed.
